Night Market - Canal Side Floating Market
Join The Widgeon Theatre Boat and friends along the Canal for Night Market. Well, it's actually from 12pm noon through to the evening but it is a great excuse to commiserate the clocks going back and celebrate the ghoulish tails, trails and er... carvings of Halloween. Plus there's a harmonica workshop (with free harmonica to keep!),ghostly storytelling, face painting, vintage clothes, bric a brac, boat traders, art for sale and then some!
12:30 - 13:30 and 16:30 - 17:30 (2 shows) Storytelling with Shane Ibb
Shane brings something magical and unique compared to other forms of ‘entertainment’. His storytelling is done eye-to-eye, moment-to-moment, to fully engage the audience. Each story telling occasion is unique, as he uses his interaction of the audience to inspire and mould the story in the moment. It can be funny, it can be soothing, sometimes almost meditative and relaxing. A Must.
14:30 - 15:30 Harmonica workshop with Ed Hopwood
In this fun class you will learn how to play the harmonica - on a boat - plus you get to keep your harmonica! Ed works in a number of schools and for various music services. He specialises in Blues/Roots music with an emphasis on music education. Great educational, musical fun!
18:00 - 20:00 Ed Hopwood and his fellow musicians
Ed Hopwood and his fellow musicians perform in fine style to get the Night Market move and shake, for a feelgood finale.
Face painting and pumpkin carving throughout the day.
