“The Widgeon Theatre Boat returns bringing the ‘GRIT OF LIFE’ to an out of reach audience”

The infamous 84 year old Widgeon Theatre Boat is back on the waterways and touring a new production of the ‘Grit of Life’ – an astonishing musical with a difference unlike those gone before. It’s a story told from different viewpoints, both past and present. The narrator weaves a tale through history and music. You will enjoy tapping feet, partaking in a quiz, listening to newly written songs by celebrated artist Rory Mcleod.

Written and Directed by John Knowles, Produced by Widgeon’s own MJ Morgan, the musical celebrates an emerging cast that includes - in order of appearance, Maisy Beth Crunden, Kristin Duffy, Hannah Harris and Patrick McHugh. The show will take you on a colourfully informative journey of the waterways from a variety of perspectives and characters.

This performance is part of the Brighton Palace Pier Folk Festival 'Pierfest' and takes place at Horatio's bar on Brighton Palace Pier
