“The Widgeon Theatre Boat returns bringing the ‘GRIT OF LIFE’ to an out of reach audience”

The infamous 84 year old Widgeon Theatre Boat is back on the waterways and touring a new production of the ‘Grit of Life’ – an astonishing musical with a difference unlike those gone before. It’s a story told from different viewpoints, both past and present. The narrator weaves a tale through history and music. You will enjoy tapping feet, partaking in a quiz, listening to newly written songs by celebrated artist Rory Mcleod.

Written and Directed by John Knowles, Produced by Widgeon’s own MJ Morgan, the musical celebrates an emerging cast that includes - in order of appearance, Maisy Beth Crunden, Kristin Duffy, Hannah Harris and Patrick McHugh. The show will take you on a colourfully informative journey of the waterways from a variety of perspectives and characters.

The Widgeon Theatre Boat will be at moored at Fishery Wharf Café, Hemel Hempstead from Friday 13th August to Sunday 15th August 2021.

This show takes place in Fishery Wharf Café Sunday 15th August 7:00 pm - 9:00pm

Covid-19 guidelines.

We have implemented best practices, adhering to government guidelines, enabling you to enjoy 'Grit of Life' safely. Currently you do not need to be a household or bubbled group to sit together. The maximum group size is thirty. If you have more people in your group, please make a subsequent booking, then send an email to onthebill@widgeontheatreboat.com letting us know the lead name in the other booking(s).

Please note that Temperature checks will be made on entrance and quests will have to sign to say they received a survey regarding Covid-19 symptoms which will be emailed to all guests 48hrs before the show.

By buying a ticket you agree to:

Only come if you are feeling healthy and well, and have not been experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19. Only come if you do not have someone vulnerable in your household or social bubble (the group of people with whom you have close physical contact. Only come if you do not have someone who is isolating in your household or social bubble. Allow your contact details to be held by Ha Ha Films Ltd for 21 days for the purpose of COVID-19 Track and Trace. Abide by Government guidelines current at the time of the event (15th August onwards) with regards to public behaviour around COVID-19 (social distancing etc.) If you have experienced any COVID Symptoms you should self isolate for 10 days.
